I was born in Norristown, Pennsylvania and raised in North Wales. I attended catholic grammar school at St. Rose of Lima for eight years, graduating in 1988. In grade school, I played basketball and baseball and was lucky enough to play at Veteran's Stadium for a city vs suburbs all star game in baseball. I then attended St. Joseph's Prep in North Philadelphia for high school from 1988 to 1992 where I was a member of the Crew Team. I attended Boston College, majoring in Philosophy with a concentration in English, graduating in the top third of my class in 1996. During my Junior year at Boston College, I raised money for the Leukemia Society and obtained official entry to the 99th Boston Marathon. I completed the marathon in 3 hours and 25 minutes, and went on to run two more marathons in 1999 and 2001. After college, I attended law school at Villanova and obtained my Juris Doctor in 1999. I passed the bar exam and have been practicing law in the Philadelphia area since that time.
My Italian dad and Irish mom raised me, along with my older brother and sister, in a way that fostered discipline, balance, and an appreciation for hard work. My father was a hard working attorney who was the first to graduate college in his family. He became partner at the well known Montgomery County firm, Timoney Knox, and worked there until he passed in 2001.
In high school and college, I worked many jobs, including jobs as a caddy at a golf course, a valet parking attendant, a warehouse worker, a deli and cashier worker, and helping out at my father's firm. These jobs were pivotal in shaping who I am today and why I connect with people from all walks of life. They taught me to respect every job, every employee, no matter what the "title". But it wasn't just these experiences that taught me this- it was the way in which my parents treated people.
I try to bring my parents' work ethic to my practice of helping injured workers. My goal in every case is to maximize the available benefits for my clients, to treat them with the respect they deserve, and to help move them forward in life in whatever ways possible. My clients aren't "files"- they are hard working people who need assistance to get their lives back on track after a work-related injury.
In my personal time, I enjoy my three daughters, training in mixed martial arts, playing the drums, and traveling when I can. I love following the Philadelphia sports teams, especially the Eagles.
